Génesis Michel De León Alcántara

Graduate in Education with Orientation in English Teaching from the Universidad Bilingüe Dominico Americana in the Dominican Republic, obtaining Magna Cum Laude in 2022 with a scholarship from the National Institute for Teacher Training and Education (INAFOCAM) and I have completed a Master’s Degree in Applied Research in Education from the University of Valladolid in 2024 with a scholarship from the Carolina Foundation.

Having a multidisciplinary profile, combining teaching, research and management, my professional experience covers areas such as teaching, training of professionals and quality assurance in educational and business processes. I have worked as a Quality Analyst and International Trainer for companies such as Google Waze. Likewise, I have performed assistance and coordination functions in non-profit organizations managing operational tasks and coordination of community projects.

In the field of research, so far, my training has allowed me to analyze in order to contribute and propose improvements in the methodological orientations present in curricula, especially in English language teaching, based on evidence. I have participated in international conferences and seminars, among them the International Colloquium on Curriculum Analysis and Bibliographic Studies in Education (2024) at the Centro de Actualización del Magisterio in Zacatecas, Mexico (CAM), with my presentation on “Methodological orientations in curricula for teaching foreign languages in secondary education, a comparative study”.

Currently Researcher at the Privacy Engineering Research Group of the University of Valladolid where I am in charge of the creation and dissemination of training content with the aim of promoting digital skills in the “App-PI Project (App Privacy Impact)”, financed by INCIBE with PRTR and NextGen EU funds.
