Professor of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Valladolid. Coordinator (IP) of the Privacy Engineering research group at the University of Valladolid and of the strategic cybersecurity project “App-PI (App Privacy Impact): An ecosystem for the evaluation of the impact of apps for mobile devices on the privacy and security of their users”, carried out under a collaboration agreement between the University of Valladolid and the S.M.E. Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad de España M.P., S.A. for the promotion of strategic cybersecurity projects in Spain, within the framework of the funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union (Next Generation), initiated in 2024.
Participant in thirteen research projects on ICT applied to various fields: Law, Heritage, etc. Principal Investigator (PI) of the “App-PI (App Privacy Impact)” project. Previously in a regional project (2006) and in the OntoROPA project (Ontological Records Of Processing Activities), funded by the OntoChain HORIZON EU2020 program (Grant 957338) in 2021.
Author of 23 journal articles. Coordinator of a book on legal XML (2014). Author of 7 chapters in collective books on Technology Law (2007, 2014) and of a teaching-oriented book on Legal Informatics for Law students (2014).Coordinator of the I Symposium on Legislative XML in Spain (Valladolid, Spain, 2007) and promoter of the series of symposiums on Documentary Legal Informatics in Spain. Coordinator and promoter of the annual conference ‘LexDatum, Derecho aplicado a las TIC'(lexdatum.uva.es)”, held annually since 2015 in Valladolid (Spain). Member of the team of reviewers of the international journal ‘ACM Computing Reviews” since 2003. Member of the expert committee AEN/CTN 320 – Cybersecurity and Data Protection’, and the subcommittee CTN 320/SC 05 “DATA PROTECTION, PRIVACY AND IDENTITY MANAGEMENT” since 2020, where she represents the University of Valladolid.
Professor at the Computer Science Department of the University of Valladolid since 1994. Lecturer at the ‘Computing Engineering’ department of the University of Aalborg (Denmark) for one year, period 2012-2013. Associate researcher at the ‘Institute of Law and Technology, IDT’ (idt.uab.cat), since 2016.
