The Privacy Engineering Research Group at the School of Computer Engineering of the University of Valladolid not only conducts research into digital privacy, but also puts its knowledge at the service of society through a specialised range of training, auditing and dissemination services.
Our objective is to help any audience, professionals and educational centres understand, evaluate, and improve privacy in the digital environment, with special attention to the mobile application ecosystem. Other services we offer:
- Training workshops: We offer training workshops tailored to different profiles and levels of knowledge. Our goal is to bring privacy protection in mobile applications closer to the public in a clear and practical way, so that anyone, regardless of their technical level, can understand it and apply it to their daily lives. Our workshops combine theoretical foundations with real-life cases and practical demonstrations, addressing topics such as data protection and privacy in mobile applications, best practices for protecting digital privacy, and awareness of the responsible use of technology.
- Audits: We conduct specialised technical audits of mobile applications to assess their performance and impact from the perspective of privacy and data protection. These audits can analyse what data an application actually collects, evaluate how data is transmitted and stored, detect potential information leaks or invasive practices, verify compliance with basic privacy principles, and identify risks to users and organisations.
- Learning materials: We develop training materials and informational resources to facilitate understanding of digital privacy in different educational and professional contexts. We offer practical guides, infographics, online courses and other educational resources that you can view and download here.
