During the months of April and May we have carried out several activities:
💻Digital privacy workshop with high school students – April 11
Last April 11, we received at the School of Computer Engineering high school students from IES Guardo, who participated in a practical workshop on digital privacy.
👥 The session was guided by Marta Urueña Valle, Alberto Ceinos Rodríguez, Teresa Jiménez del Bosque, and Génesis De León Alcántara, representing the Privacy Engineering Research Group.
🔐 During the workshop, students learned the importance of protecting their privacy on mobile devices and learned about the App-PI Project, exploring how apps access their data.
🎯 Through a game with clues, participants discovered practical and fun ways to protect their personal information.

🌍 Participation in RCIS 2025 – Seville
During the month of May, members of the IngPriv Group presented the App-PI Project at the 19th edition of the International Conference RCIS 2025 (Research Challenges in Information Science) held in Seville.
🎤 Mercedes Martínez González and Alejandro Pérez de la Fuente gave the tutorial: Taking control of our privacy when using mobile apps: checks and tools.
🛠️ In their presentation, they showed how APK Falcon works, a tool under development by the group, designed to allow users and developers to assess the impact on the privacy of their data in non-intrusive environments.
📱 A proposal that reinforces our commitment to provide citizens with tools that allow them to take control of their digital privacy.
