The Privacy Engineering Research Group of the University of Valladolid is responsible for putting engineering techniques at the service of privacy protection that we have as citizens. Cybersecurity provides techniques that protect these data, as well as the systems and networks where they are stored or through which they transit.
Our research group works on the App-PI Project (App Privacy Impact) in which we use technology to provide the user with a tool to make a decision before installing anything on their Smartphone.
Our project is integrated by 12 researchers and is part of the agreement signed between UVa and INCIBE (National Institute of Cybersecurity) for the promotion of strategic cybersecurity projects in Spain. In addition, we give workshops for university students and any public in order to help these people to understand and protect their privacy when using mobile apps.
