ENISE 2025

Mercedes Martínez González, principal investigator of the Privacy Engineering Research Group (IngPriv) at the School of Computer Engineering of the University of Valladolid, participated together with Javier Bustos Jiménez in the 19th edition of ENISE (International Information Security Meeting), organised by INCIBE (National Cybersecurity Institute) in León.

In her presentation entitled ‘Citizen cybersecurity: innovation at the service of society’, Mercedes presented the App-PI Project (App Privacy Impact) , which seeks to provide mobile application users and developers with tools to assess the impact on the privacy and security of their personal data in a non-intrusive and accessible environment.

The App-PI Project promotes citizen cybersecurity, understood as people’s ability to make informed decisions about the use of their digital data and the level of trust they place in the applications they use on a daily basis.

Below you can watch the video in which Mercedes explains the work of the IngPriv Group, its line of research and how the App-PI Project uses technology to provide users with a tool that enables them to make informed decisions before installing applications on their mobile phones. It also provides application developers and other advanced users with tools to better guarantee privacy in their developments.
