Génesis Michel De León Alcántara

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a specialisation in English Teaching from the Dominico Americana Bilingual University in the Dominican Republic, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2022 with a scholarship from the National Institute for Teacher Training and Education (INAFOCAM). I completed a Master’s Degree in Applied Research in Education at the University of Valladolid (2024) as a recipient of a scholarship from the Carolina Foundation and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Transdisciplinary Research in Education at the same university.

I have a multidisciplinary profile that integrates teaching, research and management. My professional experience includes training professionals, ensuring educational and business quality, and coordinating projects in non-profit organisations. I have worked as a Quality Analyst and International Trainer in contexts linked to different companies such as Google Waze, and I have participated in international conferences on foreign language teaching.

I am currently part of the Privacy Engineering Research Group at the University of Valladolid as a junior researcher, collaborating in the creation, coordination and dissemination of educational content, such as MOOCs and workshops given in educational centres. All this with the aim of promoting digital skills and encouraging good practices in the field of privacy and personal data security within the App-PI (App Privacy Impact) project, funded by INCIBE with PRTR and Next Generation EU funds.
