June-July 2025 Newsletter of the App-PI Project of the Privacy Engineering Research Group (IngPriv) at the University of Valladolid
During June and July, the Privacy Engineering Research Group (IngPriv) at the School of Computer Engineering at the University of Valladolid participated in several conferences, presentations and the defence of final degree projects by several students. Here is a summary of the main activities:
🌍 Participation in JNIC in Zaragoza, CISTI in Lisbon, and EWAF in Eindhoven
- JNIC 2025 (National Cybersecurity Research Conference)
Alejandro Pérez de la Fuente presented his work on mobile application auditing, highlighting the importance of verifying whether apps actually comply with what they claim about the use of users’ personal data.

🎓 Graduation Ceremony
In June, the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025 of the School of Computer Engineering at the University of Valladolid was held.
During the ceremony, our colleague Alejandro Pérez de la Fuente, winner of the Special Award in the Master’s Degree in Business Intelligence and Big Data in Secure Environments (2023–2024 academic year), gave a moving speech. In it, he highlighted the great work done by the professors in both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, and expressed his sincere gratitude to his family and friends for their support at every stage. We also accompanied some of the collaborators from the Privacy Engineering Research Group (IngPriv) who graduated on this day.
