Last November 21st we gave a practical workshop for developers within the X LexDatum Conference at the School of Computer Engineering of the University of Valladolid.
In the workshop given by Mercedes Martínez González, Margarita Gonzalo Tasis, Pablo-Abel Criado Lozano, Alejandro Pérez de la Fuente and Luis Blanco de la Cruz tried to explain how to protect privacy when installing apps on mobile devices and methodologies for their verification and improvement.
The workshop covered topics such as Android and privacy compliance, OWASP tests applied to privacy, OWASP testing tools, data security in Google Play and finally, tests were performed with the APK Falcon tool that the Privacy Engineering Research Group is developing.
